Third Green Festival – Parallel Activities

In the Green Pavilion, EMPOWER Private Sector set up so-called parallel activities to encourage public awareness and engagement in environmental sustainability and the “circular economy.”

The innovative training provider from Kosovo, BONEVET, presented their 3D printers running on organic filament, and they also promoted recycling of materials, robotics, and renewable energy. Local college, UBT, presented their renewable energy and mechatronics laboratory. Rrenjet Tona, a small company from Kosovo, promoted the use of coffee waste to grow oyster mushrooms.

In addition, two prototypes of sustainable architecture were presented to the public, the “City Gardens” project was presented by the renowned London-based architectural design firm 4M Group, and “City Tree” was presented by a group of students who founded TePema, which is a local startup. 4M Group also promoted the use of sustainable materials in architecture and buildings. During the Green Festival, visitors were also able to learn to plant flowers in pots with the Green Festival logo, which were given to them as a gifts at the end of the activity.
